Cat Facts: Editor's Letter

Who Is More Amused?

By Beth Adelman for Cat Facts

I have a houseguest this week from Europe. She has a cat back home and misses him very much, so she's be happy to see that Mei Mei enjoys flirting with her, demanding playtime and even taking short naps with her.

One morning we were both in the living room drinking coffee. She was tickling Mei Mei with a feather stick and I was playing with Yin Yin by tossing her red felt mouse. My guest was telling me that she lives on the ground floor of a house and always leaves the window slightly ajar so her cat can go in and out as he likes. "I see you have to spend a lot of time amusing your cats because they don't go outside," she said. "I don't have to play with my cat much because he spends most of his time amusing himself the park nearby."

"Too bad for you," I thought to myself, as Yin Yin turned her head upside down, tossed her toy in the air and then caught it in her back paws.
